About our Year 3 Summer maths planning

The Summer term helps pupils consolidate key Year 3 maths concepts before moving into Year 4. Pupils revisit and extend earlier learning while applying mathematical understanding across fractions, measurement, geometry and statistics.

Across these Summer maths units, pupils compare and order fractions, work with money, tell the time to the nearest minute, explore properties of shapes and interpret data using charts and pictograms. Fluency, reasoning and problem-solving opportunities are embedded throughout to support secure mathematical understanding.

What’s included

  • Detailed Year 3 maths lesson plans
  • Interactive teaching slides for whole-class teaching
  • Differentiated worksheets linked to each lesson
