Part-time (16 hours a week) Geography content creator – temporary

We are currently looking for a Geography specialist teacher to join us on a freelance basis – so you will be responsible for your own tax and NIC – to help create a Geography scheme of work for EYFS and KS1.

You will be (or have been recently) a Geography subject leader with at least 4 years primary teaching experience in either EYFS and/or KS1 in England. You will work closely with our head of primary content to produce lesson plans, lesson slides, worksheets and activity cards based on the Geography National Curriculum. This role will require the use of software that may be unfamiliar to you such as Google Drive, Slack and Trello. Previous experience of these would be desirable, or an ability to pick up tech skills quickly.

You will need a good awareness of the educational publishing landscape, as well as a knowledge of what works well in the classroom to help us deliver on what teacher want and need the most.

Since this is a subject specialist role, we’d expect you to be able to use recent publications, such as the Geography Ofsted Subject Report, to inform your work, and be able to create documentation to support the scheme such as progression overviews and long term plans.

It goes without saying that very strong attention to detail and excellent spelling and grammar is an absolute must for all our roles.

From time to time, you may also be asked to comment on customer queries in relation to your subject.

  • This role is a work from home role and you must provide your own equipment.

To apply for this role, please email [email protected] stating why you think you would be suitable.
