Year 3 Maths – Summer Block 5: Statistics

This block introduces pupils to statistics, focusing on collecting, representing and interpreting data using pictograms, bar charts and tables.

Pupils begin by interpreting and drawing pictograms and bar charts, developing confidence reading scales and comparing values. They then move on to collecting and representing their own data.

Later in the block, pupils interpret two-way tables and solve one-step and two-step problems, helping them apply their understanding of data in different contexts.
