Year 1 Summer maths planning – White Rose aligned KS1 resources

Our Year 1 Summer maths resources follow the White Rose small steps to cover essential end-of-year concepts in KS1. Topics include multiplication and division, fractions, position and direction, place value within 100, money, and time.

Pupils will learn to count in 2s, 5s and 10s, make equal groups, recognise halves and quarters, describe turns and positions, and develop confidence with numbers up to 100. They’ll also explore coins and notes, and learn to tell the time to the hour and half hour.

Each Year 1 Summer maths lesson includes teaching slides, reasoning prompts and differentiated worksheets to support mastery and fluency. All activities are designed to meet KS1 curriculum objectives while preparing pupils for Year 2.
