Year 3 Autumn Block 1 – Week 2
Week 2 of Year 3 Autumn Block 1 continues to build pupils’ understanding of place value within 1,000, with teaching and resources aligned to the White Rose Maths small steps progression.
This week includes the full set of Maths Masters downloads, including the lesson plan, teaching slides, differentiated worksheets, hands-on activities, and supporting assessments and revision mats where included.
Pupils focus on representing three-digit numbers in different ways, partitioning flexibly into hundreds, tens and ones, and explaining the value of each digit. The small steps provide structured opportunities for pupils to strengthen number sense and prepare for later work comparing, ordering and estimating within 1,000.
