When creating our scheme, we purposefully began with Early Years, in order to build on the knowledge and skills acquired in Reception rather than trying to shoehorn EYFS in right at the end! 

What resources are included?

  • Mixed age - to make it easier for mixed-age classes, we have adapted our Geography scheme for mixed classes 1/2, 3/4 and 5/6.
  • EYFS coverage linked to the requirements of the Early Years framework.
  • Half termly planning with weekly lessons that are quick and easy to prepare for, linking perfectly to the national curriculum yearly expectations.
  • Editable Geography lesson presentations to clearly model the learning. With engaging, interactive elements and characters that are age appropriate for years 1-6. Complete with teacher notes to help you explain some of the trickier concepts with ease.
  • Differentiated Geography worksheets to use alongside the lesson plans and lesson presentations, with the small step at the top. These will allow children to deepen their understanding of the concepts taught each lesson
  • Geography printable activities to use as a practical, hands-on element to further embed learning and reduce cognitive load.
  • Geography assessments and assessment trackers for the end of each block, set out like SATs papers to identify gaps in learning.
