Year 1 Autumn maths planning – White Rose aligned KS1 resources

Our Year 1 Autumn maths resources follow the White Rose small steps and support the first term of Key Stage 1. This term focuses on building confidence with place value within 10, addition and subtraction within 10, recognising shapes, and understanding numbers to 20.

Pupils will sort, count, compare and order numbers to 10, begin to use part-whole models, learn number bonds, and use symbols such as < and >. They’ll also name and sort 2D and 3D shapes and develop early place value understanding for numbers to 20.

Each Year 1 Autumn maths lesson includes teaching slides, visual models, reasoning questions and differentiated worksheets designed to build fluency, problem solving and number sense in KS1.
