‘People and Celebrations’ is a great topic for Spring as it combines People Who Help Us with all the cultural celebrations taking place in the spring term! This provides great inspiration for all areas of Early Years and a great base for learning.
There are 6 weekly packs altogether in this topic, and each week’s resource pack can be found individually on Mrs Mactivity. The themes of the weekly packs are:
- Week 1: Police and Firefighters
- Week 2: Healthcare – doctors, nurses, dentists
- Week 3: Vets
- Week 4: Pancake Day
- Week 5: Lunar New Year
- Week 6: Valentine’s Day
The aim of these packs is to provide practitioners with ideas and support to deliver a fun and engaging EYFS curriculum, mainly through exciting continuous provision and tuff tray setups. There is no expectation that every activity is covered each week, however the range of activities gives ideas and flexibility to teachers.
