Our Year 4 summer maths resources provide complete lesson sequences, teaching slides, differentiated worksheets and assessment materials for the final term of Year 4. Resources are organised into blocks and weeks, allowing teachers to follow the full Maths Masters progression or access individual lesson materials as needed.
The summer term covers decimals, money, time, shape, statistics and position and direction. Pupils apply mathematical knowledge across a range of contexts while developing fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills that prepare them for the transition to Year 5.
Pupils compare and round decimals, calculate with money, convert between units of time, classify shapes using geometric properties, interpret charts and graphs, and use coordinates and translation to describe position and movement. These topics bring together learning from across Year 4 while preparing pupils for Upper Key Stage 2 mathematics.
