Year 4 | Multiplication and Division Assessment – Spring Block 1
This Year 4 multiplication and division assessment checks pupils’ understanding of key calculation skills taught across Spring Block 1. It is designed to be used at the end of the block to assess fluency, reasoning and application of multiplication and division strategies.
The assessment covers factor pairs, multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100 using place value, related facts, written multiplication, division with and without remainders, and solving problems involving combinations and efficient methods. Questions use visual models, written layouts and problem-solving contexts to reflect the teaching approaches used throughout the block.
