Reception Maths Spring Week 6: Length, Height and Time

Explore early measurement with this Reception length and height lesson pack for Spring Week 6. Aligned with the White Rose Maths EYFS progression, pupils learn to explore, compare and measure the length and height of everyday objects using practical resources and mathematical language.

Pupils begin by identifying long and short objects before comparing and ordering objects by length. They then investigate height, using language including tall, short, taller and shorter, and learn to distinguish between the length and height of an object.
