About our Year 3 maths units

These Year 3 maths units help pupils develop confidence as they move into Key Stage 2 and begin working with more advanced mathematical concepts. Lessons are carefully sequenced to build understanding step by step while providing regular opportunities to practise and apply new learning.

Across the year, pupils explore place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions, measurement, geometry and statistics. Fluency, reasoning and problem-solving are embedded throughout to support secure mathematical understanding.

Part of our Maths Masters scheme, these units support progression through KS2 maths with clear lesson sequences, engaging resources and assessment opportunities built into each unit.
