Year 4 1, 10, 100 and 1,000 More or Less Activity Cards
These Year 4 1, 10, 100 and 1,000 more or less activity cards support pupils in developing fluency with place value within 10,000. The cards form part of Autumn Block 1 and are designed to help pupils understand how numbers change when adding or subtracting different place value amounts.
Each card presents a calculation such as finding 1, 10, 100 or 1,000 more or less than a given four-digit number. Pupils use a place value chart to support their thinking, making it clear which digits change and when an exchange is needed.
