Start the school day with five ready-to-use Year 3 morning starter activities for the Autumn Term. Each day combines short maths, spelling and English tasks with a daily question, giving pupils purposeful Year 3 early morning work that they can get started with as they arrive.
Across Autumn set 4, pupils revisit a varied range of Year 3 skills. Maths activities include number sequences, estimating on number lines, rounding to the nearest hundred, comparing numbers, finding missing digits and ordering 3-digit numbers. English and spelling tasks cover comparative and superlative adjectives, contractions, sentence punctuation, conjunctions, the suffixes -ness and -less, choosing a or an, and adding -ing.

Launch the presentation directly in your browser and use it on your interactive whiteboard. Pupils can complete the activities in their morning books, on individual whiteboards or verbally where appropriate. The familiar daily structure helps pupils settle quickly and begin learning straight away, making better use of those first few minutes of the school day.
If you want to work through responses together, you can use your usual interactive whiteboard or screen annotation tools to mark, circle or discuss answers on screen.
