Start the school day with five ready-to-use Year 1 morning starter activities for the Autumn Term. Each day combines short maths, spelling and writing tasks with a daily question, providing varied Year 1 early morning work that pupils can get started with as they arrive.
Across Autumn set 4, pupils practise comparing numbers and quantities, using greater than, less than and equal to, and comparing length. English activities include spelling and rhyming words, building sentences, using finger spaces, writing captions, and adding capital letters and full stops.

Pupils can complete the activities in their morning books, on individual whiteboards or verbally where appropriate. If you want to work through responses together, you can also use your usual interactive whiteboard or screen annotation tools to mark, circle or discuss answers on screen.
