Mr C’s Classroom provision range for EYFS
Welcome to Mr C’s Classroom range – a fun and playful range to delight the soul! This EYFS All About Me: Week 5 – My Senses Provision Pack | Mr C’s Classroom Range is for the fifth week of the Autumn term and allows children to explore sights, tastes, smells and how things feel using all their senses.
‘All About Me’ is a great topic to kick off the Reception year as it helps the children and adults in your class to build meaningful relationships, sharing ideas and thoughts about themselves and others. From the very first day, it allows children to talk about themselves, their likes and dislikes and share information about the people most important to them. The topic looks at different weekly themes such as different families, emotions, communities, senses and other key celebrations.
There are 6 weekly packs altogether in this topic, and each week’s resource pack can be found individually on Mrs Mactivity. The themes of the weekly packs are:
- Week 1: Me, myself and I
- Week 2: Me and my family
- Week 3: People and places (my community)
- Week 4: My emotions
- Week 5: The senses
- Week 6: Autumn and Harvest
The aim of these packs is to provide practitioners with ideas and support to deliver a fun and engaging EYFS curriculum, mainly through exciting continuous provision and tuff tray setups. There is no expectation that every activity is covered each week, however the range of activities gives ideas and flexibility to teachers.
