Storytelling stick puppets

Storytelling stick puppets are a simple way to get pupils retelling stories and speaking in role. They work well during World Book Day and book-themed weeks as a quick follow-up activity after sharing a class text.

Pupils can use the puppets to act out familiar scenes, practise story language, or perform short retellings in pairs or small groups.
