Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14th and is a day to express love and affection, typically through the giving of cards, flowers, and gifts. The holiday is named after Saint Valentine, a Catholic priest who lived in the 3rd century. The origins of the holiday are uncertain, but it is thought to have been established to honor Saint Valentine or to celebrate a pagan festival.
