Use our Add the Correct Coins to the Jar Activity to teach children about different quantities of money. Works really well for continuous provision and enhanced provision, as well as learning at home.
Cut out the coins and ask children to put the correct coins on the jar, according to the amount required.
Designed to be aligned with the following objectives from the KS1 maths national curriculum:
- recognise and use symbols for pounds (£) and pence (p); combine amounts to make a particular value
- find different combinations of coins that equal the same amounts of money
