Year 2 Morning Starter PowerPoints Autumn Week 7 gives you five daily slides for early morning work, fully aligned with the National Curriculum. Each PowerPoint auto-generates the date and provides a mix of maths, phonics, writing and wellbeing activities to help children settle quickly and start learning straight away.
Activities in Week 7 include:
- Maths challenges – number bonds to 100, missing numbers, “ten less than my number” puzzles and word problems using house points
- Phonics and spelling – completing word families, practising common patterns and tricky spellings
- Writing tasks – finishing sentences with because, adding missing words, and writing sentences using and, but, because and when
- Wellbeing questions – prompts such as “What makes you feel safe?” and “What did you enjoy most yesterday?”
