Fully aligned with the National Curriculum, the scheme strengthens map skills, locational knowledge, fieldwork and understanding of human and physical geography.

Part of our award-recognised Glorious Geography scheme, recognised as Highly Commended by the Geographical Association, this Year 3 geography curriculum introduces pupils to European regions, climate zones, counties and cities of the UK and key physical geography concepts including rivers, mountains and volcanoes.

Each geography lesson pack includes detailed planning, interactive teaching slides, differentiated activities, vocabulary support and enquiry-based tasks to help teachers deliver engaging and effective geography lessons across Lower KS2.

What’s included in our Year 3 geography scheme?

Our Year 3 geography resources help pupils build confidence with geographical enquiry, map interpretation and locational knowledge through engaging Lower KS2 geography lessons. Pupils investigate places in the UK and Europe, explore climate and biomes, and begin to understand key physical geography processes.

Lessons develop important geographical skills including atlas work, route planning, fieldwork, comparison of locations and the use of geographical vocabulary. Pupils also learn how environments differ around the world and how physical and human geography interact.
