Part of our award-recognised Glorious Geography scheme, recognised as Highly Commended by the Geographical Association, this Year 2 geography curriculum includes units on forests, weather, seasonal patterns and a contrasting non-European locality, helping pupils build confidence with geographical vocabulary and fieldwork skills.

Each geography lesson pack includes teaching slides, differentiated worksheets, vocabulary support, enquiry questions and detailed lesson planning to support engaging geography teaching across Key Stage 1.

What’s included in our Year 2 geography scheme?

Our Year 2 geography resources help pupils develop geographical knowledge through practical enquiry, comparisons between places and growing confidence with maps and atlases. Pupils investigate forests, weather and seasonal patterns while exploring similarities and differences between their local area and places around the world.

Lessons develop key geographical concepts including fieldwork, directional language, human and physical features, map interpretation and contrasting localities, supporting progression across Key Stage 1 geography.
