Year 6 Summer Maths Resources and Planning – KS2 White Rose Aligned

Explore our complete Year 6 Summer maths resources, aligned with the White Rose small steps and structured to support progression throughout upper Key Stage 2. Each lesson pack includes clear modelling, reasoning prompts and activities that help pupils apply their knowledge with increasing confidence.

Across the Summer term, pupils focus on shape, angles, geometry and position and direction. They explore angle rules, polygons, circles and 3-D shapes, before moving on to coordinates, translations and reflections. With teaching slides, differentiated worksheets and purposeful problem-solving opportunities, this planning supports pupils in securing key concepts and preparing for secondary maths.

Year 6 Summer maths planning and resources | White Rose scheme

Our Year 6 Summer maths planning follows the White Rose progression for the Summer term, covering shape, angles, polygons, circles, coordinates and position and direction. Each unit includes differentiated worksheets, teaching slides, fluency tasks, reasoning questions and problem-solving activities to support progression across Year 6.

These KS2 maths resources help pupils revisit key angle facts, apply them within triangles, quadrilaterals and polygons, and develop confidence when working with coordinates, translations and reflections. Lessons are designed to build accuracy, strengthen reasoning and support deeper understanding of geometry.
