Year 6 Spring spelling resources – SPaG scheme
Support structured spelling teaching with our Year 6 spring spelling resources, designed to accompany the Spelling Strand Year 6 – Spring Term – overview and rationale and the wider Mrs Mactivity SPaG scheme. These resources follow the Spring term spelling sequence and provide regular opportunities for pupils to practise, apply and secure spellings in preparation for the end of Year 6.
Weekly spelling lists include a mixture of key spelling rules, homophones and Year 5 and 6 statutory word list spellings (highlighted in blue). The Spring term also includes spelling patterns such as -cial/-tial, words ending in -ous/-tious/-cious and the fer word family.
