Year 6 ratio assessment pack | Ratio: Spring Block 1
This Year 6 ratio assessment pack is designed to assess pupils’ understanding of ratio across Spring Block 1. It allows teachers to check how securely children can use ratio language, compare quantities, solve missing value problems and apply ratio knowledge in a range of contexts.
Aligned with the White Rose Ratio block, the assessment focuses on the key skills taught throughout the block, including interpreting ratios, using multiplicative reasoning and applying ratio to problem-solving situations. It supports teachers in identifying secure understanding as well as common misconceptions, such as treating ratios additively or confusing ratio with fractions.
This assessment can be used to inform teacher assessment, support moderation and guide next steps in teaching following completion of the block.
