Year 6 Aspirations for the Future Project

Looking for meaningful Year 6 transition activities? This Year 6 Aspirations for the Future Project encourages pupils to reflect on their goals, ambitions and future choices as they prepare for secondary school.

Through a wide range of discussion, writing and research activities, pupils explore careers, friendships, technology, relationships, future homes, transport and personal aspirations. The project supports reflection, communication and personal development while helping pupils think positively about the future.

Activities include predicting future careers, designing homes and technology of the future, discussing online safety, researching future lifestyles and writing letters to their future selves. Pupils are encouraged to consider the choices they may make as they move through secondary school and beyond.

Ideal for the final weeks of Year 6, this project supports PSHE, transition discussions and reflective end of term learning while helping pupils prepare for the move to Year 7.
