This Year 5/6 mixed-age geography lesson pack is part of our Glorious Geography scheme for KS2. It uses the same carefully sequenced lessons as the single-age version, organised into a two-year cycle for mixed-age classes.

In Cycle A, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils follow one set of blocks. In Cycle B, they move on to a different set, ensuring full National Curriculum coverage across Upper KS2 without repeating content.

What are the features of Las Vegas? is the third lesson in Cycle A, Block 1: Viva Las Vegas. It continues the North America unit, supporting pupils in identifying and describing key human and physical features of the city. The lesson can be taught as part of the full sequence or adapted to suit your own curriculum.
