Year 4 | Time: Summer Block 3: Knowledge Organiser
Year 4 | Time Knowledge Organiser
This Year 4 time knowledge organiser supports pupils in securing key facts and representations for working with time. It brings together essential unit conversions, clock knowledge and vocabulary to help pupils read, compare and calculate time accurately.
The organiser includes clear reference information for days, weeks, months and years, including the number of days in each month and how leap years affect the calendar. It also shows how seconds, minutes and hours relate to one another, supporting pupils when converting between units of time.
Pupils are reminded how to read analogue clocks using the hour and minute hands, and how to interpret both 12-hour and 24-hour digital times. Visual examples show how am and pm are used, how 24-hour times are written using four digits, and how afternoon and evening times are represented.
