Year 4 | Summer Block 5 Statistics Assessment
Year 4 | Statistics Assessment – Summer Block 5
This Year 4 statistics assessment checks pupils’ understanding of data handling taught across Summer Block 5. It is designed for use at the end of the unit to assess pupils’ ability to interpret and present data using pictograms, bar charts and line graphs.
The assessment includes interpreting pictograms with different scales, reading and answering questions from bar charts, and solving comparison, sum and difference problems using data. Pupils also interpret line graphs and complete a line graph accurately using information from a table.
Questions require pupils to read values carefully, compare data, calculate differences, and explain conclusions using information shown in charts and graphs rather than relying on estimation.

- Reading and answering questions from bar charts
- Solve comparison, sum and difference problems using data
