Year 4 | Statistics: Summer Block 5: Week 10 – Lesson Resource Pack
Year 4 | Statistics – Week 10 Lesson Resource Pack
This Year 4 statistics lesson pack covers all learning for Week 10 of Summer Block 5: Statistics. The week focuses on interpreting and presenting data using pictograms, bar charts and line graphs, and solving comparison, sum and difference problems using information shown in charts and graphs.
Across the week, pupils begin by interpreting pictograms and bar charts, learning how keys and scales affect the information shown. They then solve comparison, sum and difference problems using data from charts, applying addition and subtraction accurately and choosing appropriate methods.
The sequence moves on to interpreting line graphs, helping pupils understand how line graphs differ from bar charts and how continuous data is represented. Pupils then practise drawing line graphs from given data, selecting suitable scales and plotting points accurately. The week finishes with an end-of-block assessment covering all statistics objectives.
