Year 3 | Representing Numbers to 1000 Activity Cards
Year 3 Representing Numbers to 1,000 Activity Cards
These Year 3 activity cards give pupils practical, hands-on practice representing three-digit numbers using hundreds, tens and ones.
Each card provides a clear number prompt and encourages pupils to build and explain the value using base ten equipment, place value counters or drawings. This is a helpful way to strengthen understanding of how numbers within 1,000 are composed, particularly at the start of the place value unit.
The cards are ideal for partner work, maths meetings, small group support or continuous revision across Autumn Block 1, and they link closely to the White Rose Maths small steps progression for representing and partitioning numbers.
