Topic: Measurement: weight and mass

This presentation focuses on introducing measuring and comparing weight and mass using non-standard units. It is intended to be taught over 3 sessions: one on introducing weight and mass (recapping on terms heavier and lighter and comparing using a balance); a second on measuring mass on a balance using non-standard units; and a third on comparing mass measured in non-standard units. 

It recaps some of the objectives from Year 1 work on measuring weight and mass.

Small Step:  Introduce weight and mass. Measure mass (non-standard units). Compare mass (non-standard units).
