Year 2 human growth lesson: How do humans grow?
This Year 2 human growth lesson helps pupils explore how humans grow and change from baby to adulthood. Part of our Animals Including Humans – Growth unit, this lesson introduces the idea that growth is a feature of all living things and supports pupils to use scientific vocabulary when describing change over time.
Pupils compare themselves as babies and children, identify similarities and differences, and measure their height using a simple practical activity. They then learn about the stages of human growth and complete a worksheet to describe what humans can do at each stage of life.
