Topic: Statistics
This lesson focuses on making and drawing pictograms with 1 picture representing 1 object. It is a longer presentation and can be split across two sessions. The first focusing on introducing pictograms and making them using counters or cubes; the second focusing on drawing pictograms using simple pictures or shapes.
Small Steps: Draw pictograms (1:1).
NC Links: Interpret and construct simple pictograms, tally charts, block diagrams and simple tables. *Ask and answer simple questions by counting the number of objects in each category and sorting the categories by quantity. *Ask and answer questions about totalling and comparing categorical data.
