Year 2 Describing Position Worksheet
Consolidate geometry vocabulary using this Year 2 describing position worksheet revision mat. Pupils practise using positional language to describe where objects are, draw objects in the correct positions, and describe movement on a grid using directions.
The revision mat includes activities where pupils describe the position of objects using words such as between, below and to the right of, draw a crab and fish in the correct places on a grid, and describe movement by counting how many squares an animal has moved up/down or forwards/backwards. Pupils also write directions to help a pirate reach the treasure by moving a given number of squares on a grid. This makes it ideal for retrieval practice, a quick assessment task, or a focused intervention resource.
