Year 2 capacity and volume resources

Topic: Measurement: capacity and volume

This presentation focuses on introducing the terms capacity and volume and thinking about the capacity and volume of containers. It recap some objects from the Year 1 Curriculum.

It is a longer presentation and intended to be taught over three sessions: one on introducing the terms and starting to compare capacity and volume; a second on measuring capacity using non-standard units; and a third on comparing volume using terms such as quarter full, half full, three quarters full, etc.

Small Step:  Introduce capacity and volume. Measure capacity. Compare volumes.
