Year 1 Science Deciduous and Evergreen Trees Lesson Pack
This Year 1 Deciduous and Evergreen Trees lesson helps pupils understand the difference between deciduous and evergreen trees. Children learn that deciduous trees lose their leaves each autumn, while evergreen trees stay green all year. They explore leaf shapes, act out the seasonal life of an oak tree, and take part in a local tree hunt.
Practical activities include a Deciduous Tree Scavenger Hunt, collecting and sorting leaves, and using magnifying glasses to observe features closely.
