This Year 1/2 mixed-age geography lesson pack is part of our Glorious Geography scheme. It supports mixed-age classes by allowing pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 to learn together while building clear progression across KS1.

The scheme follows a two-year cycle. In Cycle A, pupils complete one set of units before moving on to a different set in Cycle B, ensuring full coverage without repeating content.

Lesson 5: How Different/Similar is Cardiff to Where we Live? is the fifth lesson in this block. Pupils compare Cardiff with their own local area, identifying similarities and differences in features, environment and daily life.

This lesson encourages the children to apply their knowledge of cities and locations, helping them make meaningful connections between places.
