Year 1 Geography Lesson – What Are Other Parks in the World Like?
This Year 1 geography lesson parks around the world is part of the Out and About block from our KS1 geography scheme of work. Pupils compare their local park with parks in contrasting world locations, using maps, atlases, globes and photographs to identify similarities and differences in human and physical features. By the end of this lesson, pupils will:

- ✅ Identify human and physical features of parks in contrasting localities.
- ✅ Compare and contrast another park with their own, noticing similarities and differences.
- ✅ Use geographical vocabulary such as location, country, similar and different.
