The Titanic Postcard Writing Activity

The titanic postcard writing activity

The Titanic KS1 activities

The Titanic is a brilliant topic to cover, and there are so many ways to inspire children’s imaginations to produce lots of good work, and of course – learning!

Use this The Titanic Postcard Writing Activity as part of your English lessons for a truly cross-curricular approach. Challenge children to imagine what it must have been like to be a child aboard the Titanic, and what their experiences must have been. You could do this activity both before and after the sinking of the Titanic, and see how the children’s experiences compare. You could also ask children to write a postcard from the perspective of a child in first, second and third class, to get a feel for what would have happened in the different parts of the ship. So many possibilities!
