Year 5 SPaG assessment – End of Summer Term
Use this Year 5 SPaG assessment to evaluate pupils’ understanding of grammar and punctuation concepts taught during the summer term. This end-of-term quiz covers key skills including:
- Using verb prefixes (e.g. dis–, de–, mis–)
- Changing nouns and adjectives into verbs with suffixes
- Identifying and applying modal verbs and adverbs of possibility
- Recognising and punctuating relative clauses and relative pronouns
- Creating complex sentences with -ed and -ing clauses
- Using commas to avoid ambiguity
- Understanding cohesion using pronouns, word families and more
