Reception science assessment – animals and their habitats
Our Reception science assessment on animals and their habitats is designed to check understanding at the end of Block 1 in our science scheme of work. Linked to the EYFS framework, it provides a fun and engaging way to reinforce key concepts such as animal types, their features and where they live.
This end-of-unit quiz comes as a colourful PowerPoint with matching worksheet and answer slides. Teachers can deliver it as a whole-class activity, small group task or 1:1 conversation, depending on what suits their setting. Pupils can tick answers, respond verbally or use it as a writing opportunity. It’s flexible, easy to use and helps teachers track progress clearly and simply.
