Positional language drawing activity
This positional language drawing activity is perfect for Year 1 pupils learning to use and understand key vocabulary such as around, near, close and far. Aligned with the National Curriculum and White Rose small steps, this resource helps pupils practise spatial awareness through drawing and following instructions.
Children are asked to draw objects in specific positions based on the instructions provided. For example, they might place an object near a tree or far from a house.
