This Phase 3 Code Breaker phonics worksheet gives Reception children the chance to practise reading and spelling longer words while building fluency in Phase 3 phonics. The activity makes phonics interactive and engaging, encouraging children to apply their sound knowledge to whole words.
Children look at the words on the lock, find the matching picture on the grid, then write the correct number next to each word. Once all four numbers are recorded, the code is cracked and the lock is solved – combining reading, segmenting and writing skills in one fun task.
