Perfect for phase 2 phonics lessons! Use these Phase 2 Set 1 Initial Sound Object Cards to help children understand GPCs, ideal for phonics games and for phonics wall displays too.
Suggestions for use:
- Lay out four hoops on the floor and place s, a, t and p cards in each one.
- Show children the Phase 2 Set 1 Initial Sound Object Cards and tell them you are going to sort them according to the sound they have at the beginning.
- Adult pulls an object card out of the bag and emphasise the initial sound. All children repeat this phoneme together.
- Now children point to the correct hoop. Adult places the card in the hoop and repeats with the other cards within the bag.
