Help children with their letter formation in a fun and inspiring way! Use our Phase 2 Letter Formation Practice Sheets – Unicorn Themed as a way to entice children into practising their formation of letters using tried and tested methods. Use these alongside your phonics teaching sessions to consolidate phase 2 phonemes at the same time as working on fine motor skills. This resource is contained in a zip pack and contains both the unjoined cursive and precursive (without lead-ins) version. Guidance on the phonics validation from the DfE recommends introducing children to letter formation without the lead-ins.

You can also use these letter formation sheets at home as a parent with your own child – they are suitable for ages 4-5, or with older children who need a little extra practice.
