Year 3 Geography Lesson – Human Features of Paris
In this Year 3 geography lesson from our Allons à Paris! unit, pupils explore the human features of Paris and compare them with those in their own locality. Using maps, atlases, aerial photographs and digital tools, they learn how people shape the geography of a city through buildings, monuments, transport networks and land use. Key features studied include the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, bridges across the River Seine, parks, stadiums and the city’s transport systems. Pupils also develop their understanding of how human features support economic activity, leisure and cultural life in a European capital city.
