Year 3 Geography Lesson – How Would You Get to Paris?
Introduce pupils to European geography with this engaging Year 3 geography lesson from our Allons à Paris! unit. Children will learn how to use an atlas, map and globe to locate Paris, plan a route from the UK, and identify key features along the way such as the English Channel and the River Seine. This lesson develops map skills, locational knowledge and the use of compass directions, helping pupils understand how to plan and describe a journey between two places. Pupils record their route, practise directional language, and begin to compare their own locality with the French capital.
