Explore our i nó í: Musical Words Game | Rebecca The Irish Teacher Range from our Rebecca The Irish Teacher Range. A musical chairs type game,  but with a focus on the i or í sound as Gaeilge.

How to use

Ask children to cut up the vocabulary on the cards and have them facing up. Play a song and when the music stops they need to stick an image on the correct i or í page provided. For instance, the image rince would be stuck on the i page.

There is an option to print the images without the written version if you want to challenge your students also. There is a blank template of cards also for children to add their own words that use the corresponding sound, allowing them to lead their learning.

A fun way to revise or introduce children to the difference between the i and í sound as Gaeilge.

The finished product could be stuck up in the room as a poster to remind the children of the different sounds.
