KS1 money resources
Help children get to grips with money and coins with our How Much Money is in the Jar Activity – 10-50p. Each child needs to work out the total number of coins in each jar, and write their answer in the correct place. Good practice for KS1 SATs, and works well as a home learning/homework activity too.
Designed to be aligned with the following objectives from the KS1 maths national curriculum:
- recognise and use symbols for pounds (£) and pence (p); combine amounts to make a particular value
- find different combinations of coins that equal the same amounts of money
